Cute family drama

I was so excited when I saw there was a sequel to a book I enjoyed very much--The Exiled Omega. I waited until the weekend to read it at my leisure. It was great. Taking place a month after the end of the first book this is a really nice wrap up of the story about the brave Alpha bucking tradition and his courageous Omega & new stepson.

If you enjoyed the first book you will definitely like what happens next. The little family are really enjoying their life together. The pack, even those who were upset about the Omega exiled from an enemy pack bonding with their Alpha, had finally accepted the new Alpha Mate as well as his young son. Favorite secondary characters make an appearance, in particular the Alpha's best friend/Beta, Nathan and Marie who helped him so much with the little guy who would become his stepson.

There is a big lack of communication between the MCs. They have the same concerns and fears about their new relationship and their futures as fathers. Even little Matthew had a problem communicating with his Dads. This is a cute family drama just long enough to give you a nice update on the goings on of our favorite couple and kid or rather cub. And yes there is a pregnancy in this story :0). Happy reading!

I love the follow-up to Derek and Caleb’s story!

They are learning/loving each other and discovering things about themselves that they previously didn’t know. In this story the POV of each person has been removed. And while I loved having each POV in the first book the story has progressed to a point that it’s no longer needed to make the story complete.

Matthew continues to be a critical part of the story as he adjusts to his new life within the pack and being in a safe and loving environment. His reactions and observations in the story are both heart-warming and heart-breaking at different points.
Without giving too many spoilers this is a story of a family that learns to accept that they are strong and that change can be beautiful.

What a great story to read after The Exiled Omega! You get to see the inner workings of the trio family as they experience the joy and wonder of bringing a new pup into the family. You get to see the highs of the new excitement of a pregnancy and the lows of a sibling worrying about his place in the family. This is a great work by Alex that let's you see a more in depth view of a great family and werewolf pack! Worth the read!!

A good place to start.

This ebook quickly covers many different areas of your life where you can declutter and simplify. It is organized into different rooms of your home and different areas of your life. This talks about common trouble spots like the bedroom and bathroom. It also gets into organizing your digital life and friends. There are even tips on relationships and eating habits. The advice the ebook gives is pretty general. It is more of a guide to get you started with organizational skills. It lists a bunch of different areas of life where change can happen to make life simpler and less stressful. There are not many detailed or specific "things to do" in this ebook. This is more of a place to start to see the places in your life where you may need change.

There are a few helpful tips and things I have been overlooking for years. But most of the advice is logical stuff or things that I already do. This is geared more to people who are really overwhelmed and need a guide of where to start. It is a quick easy read so you might pick up some tricks.

Getting rid of clutter and becoming more mindful are there at the same time. I find the book to be informative as the author covers lots of spaces and objects for decluttering, but they are obvious, though it’s good to see the list and follow. I wish I could get more specific and interesting tips to feel really motivated to do it step-by –step without even a day gap.

I found a lot of errors in the book--words repeated, incomplete sentences. The tips are OK, but I didn't learn much I didn't already know. However, it is a good book for someone just starting out trying to organize.

Alexandra Manukyan was born and raised in Armenia, and since a very young age has been interested in fine arts and spent many years stydyng painting, drawing and sculpture. She graduated art school, college, and State Pedagogical University as an art major in Armenia. After immigrating to the States, she continued her education and majored in Fashion and Graphic design. Since 1990 Alexandra worked in Fashion and Entertainment industries as a designer and graphic artist. In Fashion industry she created screen print art, textile print designs and fashion editorials and worked for the companies such as: Susan Borrows (1991-1994), Bill Glazer and Associates Inc. (1994-1997), CC Collection Inc. (1997-1998), Fashion Life Inc. (1998 to present). From 2002 to 2006 she freelanced for the Entertainment Industry. Quite innovative little book

I fell in love with Alexandra's work ever since I saw her show. I previewed the book online first and my gf bought it for me as a surprise gift recently. As I'm part of a surrealist group I was quite excited to see the book at hand and recommend it to anyone who is interested in oil painting or seeing some fun videos from the book. The book is quite substantial in pages and the right size for being an education book that's easy to carry, but it's a little small for a collection of her works in my opinion. I think it should of been 12x12 high gloss with hard cover or something like that. The gloss cover felt really high quality, once i opened the book there are flat matte pages in full color and it gets really innovative with the QR Codes, its pretty cool scanning her video teasers, it's too bad that you only see the first few minutes of her workshop though, but I've not seen this type of interaction in a book before. The book is layed out very nicely and the reference and tips are very educational. The book is perfect bound and It seems more as an informative education book on how to oil paint and what Alexandra is thinking with her paintings instead of a straight collection. It's still better than paying $500 for her prints though. I've had the book for a week and showed it around a few times, but i hadn't noticed the issues with the binding or pages falling out.

Falling Apart

Four stars for Manukyan's work, one star for printing/binding quality. I waited in great anticipation for this book but was so disappointed at the book size, quality of printing and binding. Honestly, I have never returned anything to Amazon before--this was a first. I'm always careful not to break the bindings on my books, but the pages started to literally fall out as I first opened the book. The picture printing was such a poor representation of Manukyan's work that I truly couldn't stand to look. They were grainy, flat, dingy, and unclear. The cover was flimsy and wouldn't lay flat. It's too bad she is represented this way because her work is imaginative and fresh, and deserves better. As it stands, this art book is unreadable.

A Masterpiece and A Good Place To Become A Robert Anton Wilson Fan

This is one of the most informative and thrilling books I've ever read in my life. It's a wonderful place to start for anyone who's heard of Wilson and wants to hear learn more. This novel is also exceptional for those who want to find out about Aleister Crowley from an informed opinion, someone who's generally near impossible to find good information about. His ability to take his knowledge of Joyce and Einstein and use both of their egos is absolutely brilliant. In my opinion, this is the greatest historical fiction novel regarding the occult. Dan Brown is a joke compared to Wilson in every way.

Metaphysical Mystery: Conundrum of pseudo-historical Thrills

Masks of The Illuminati is a fast-paced Adventure and Detective Story, with Albert Einstein & James Joyce playing Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, in the historical setting of The Real World. However, the characters also spend a great deal of time in the Metaphysical world, as well. The average reader will not comprehend half of this book--but, that is the excitement of the adventure! Only the Illuminated truly "get it." ;)
Seriously, Students of "The Mysteries" will have a field day (or an Astral Field Trip) with this thrilling "fictional" novel.
Robert Anton Wilson must be a genius to have incorporated so much historical and metaphysical Truth, into this "story" of a young, wealthy, well-educated Englishman being Initiated into a branch of The Golden Dawn, while trying to investigate a series of strange "occult" attacks in Scotland, against a Presbyterian minister....fighting both the forces of Darkness and his own repressed sexual tendencies, simultaneously !
This is a fascinating journey into the world of occult organizations and Initiation, climaxing in a most unusual and exciting manner....leading the reader to strongly desire clapping Aleister Crowley on the back while saying, "Well-done, 'ol chap!"
I strongly doubt that non-occultists will understand this great novel--but, the Story holds it's own and being a student of The Mysteries is not a Prerequisite. For those in the dark, a quick online search can fill in the gaps, as you read.
This book is more fast-paced than Focault's Pendulumn and the scenes with Einstein & Joyce as Sleuths are very well-constructed. You will feel that you are in the room with them...listening attentively and anxiously awaiting the Conclusion !

One of the more enjoyable Wilson books

This book has something lacking in most Wilson books, namely a linear plotline and fairly believable characters who aren't merely stand-ins for the author's philosophy. Granted three of the characters are real people but that's besides the point.
An amateur Kabalist who is related to the Hagbard Celine of the original Illuminatus trilogy (and the other Celine of the Historical Illuminatus trilogy) finds himself driven mad by the machinations of Aleister Crowley. On a train he runs into Albert Einstein - the scientist who approached science as if it were art - and James Joyce - the artist who approached art as if it were a science. As he retells his story, Einstein and Joyce slowly unravel the trail of deceit and mindgames sponsored by Crowley.
It's fairly obvious by the second chapter that not only is this not much of a thriller, but Robert Anton Wilson is a major Aleister Crowley fan. Much of this book is a homage to Wilson's favorite historical figures with "Uncle Al" as the star of the show. That may take away from the whole mystery aspect of the book, but you find yourself cheering on Crowley soon as well.
This is not only a great book but a nice controlled storyline. The only complaint is that it doesn't have much to do with the world of the Illuminatus! Trilogy, and the word Illuminatus seems to be tacked on in order to sell this book to fans of that series. However, in many ways this later work surpasses the original trilogy.

It is the only book on the topic that covers both the theoretical background and the implementation in language that can be understood by readers without extensive formal training in mathematics, including cognitive scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists. Readers who go through the book chapter by chapter and implement the examples in Matlab will develop an understanding of why and how analyses are performed, how to interpret results, what the methodological issues are, and how to perform single-subject-level and group-level analyses. Researchers who are familiar with using automated programs to perform advanced analyses will learn what happens when they click the "analyze now" button. The book provides sample data and downloadable Matlab code. Each of the 38 chapters covers one analysis topic, and these topics progress from simple to advanced. Most chapters conclude with exercises that further develop the material covered in the chapter. Many of the methods presented (including convolution, the Fourier transform, and Euler's formula) are fundamental and form the groundwork for other advanced data analysis methods. Readers who master the methods in the book will be well prepared to learn other approaches.

For years, I have wished for a comprehensive and pragmatic volume that really explained -- in plain English -- the many complex techniques that are so often used in electrophysiological research. Although there are chapters in handbooks, and even entire books on digital signal processing, none are as comprehensive, pragmatic, lucid, or entertaining as Analyzing Neural Time Series Data.

This is a wonderful book. It covers not only the mathematical aspects of EEG signal processing but also the physiological bases of it, and the author makes this using a language which is understandable by non-mathematicians and it is also precise and clear.
I am a mathematician starting to work on the topic and I am completely sure that this work will increase and reinforce both my understanding of this subject, and my increasing love for it! I strongly recommend this book to everybody interested on EEGs. I just would like to add that this book has a very good complement in another one, published by the very same author and entitled "Fundamentals of Time-Frequency Analyses in Matlab/Octave" (Sinc press, 2014, there exists only Kindle version of it).

A conclusive review

I have had my training as a EE major specializing in signal processing and moved on to do experimental work in neuroscience. Having said that I feel confident in both signal processing and electrophysiology. Mike Cohen has done a great job collecting almost all the useful techniques needed for different types of neural signal processing. An amazing feature of the book as promised on the cover is how Mike has managed to masterfully merge theory and practice without losing accuracy in either. The book, in my opinion, is a must have on the bookshelf of every investigator/student who deals with one sort of neural data.

Great guidebook, definitely recommended for graduate students

I'm a grad student and this book is absolutely perfect for someone in my position. Many of the issues I've come across when looking at neurological data are covered here with great explanations at how to solve them and why these solutions are used. It's fairly easy to read, I feel like it is concise without being imprecise and has plenty of useful illustrations. I appreciate that it is written with actual application of the techniques kept in mind, it feels like a very good guidebook to practical analysis. I wish I had picked up this book at the start of my grad school experience rather than the middle, as this would've made things much more smooth.

better than i expected
By ehhh???
while i wasn't expecting much..as it was a class requirement, it turned out to be a really interesting book. good job misa. the book had plenty of smaller details and focused primarily on the technology of the time. I can say that i did enjoy reading this book and will probably reread at some point in personal interest as I was reading maybe only 60-70% of the chapter's content, like i say school requirement, didn't really have the time to read intensely.
